God’s Power: He Is Willing and Able

God’s Power: He Is Willing and Able

When I rely upon myself to get a task done, it may or may not get completed. There are times that I am willing to do something but not able to do it, and vice versa. God, unlike man, always has both the ability and the willingness to meet any need according to what He has promised in His Word. In life, instead of relying on our natural ability and willingness, we can rely on God, because He has ways and means to bring to pass His promises—ways and means beyond our five-senses knowledge that exceed our expectations. God is always able and willing to perform His promises.

Ephesians 3:20:
Now unto him [God] that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

We can see in the Scriptures that God has the ability and the willingness to bring to pass whatever is needed to fulfill His promises. Life undoubtedly has many challenging situations. When facing a situation, we may be tempted to think, “Is God going to help me through this?” As we trust God’s Word with believing and rely solely on Him, we see unlimited possibilities of life come to pass. Let’s look at a few scriptures showing God’s ability.

Luke 1:37:
For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Jeremiah 32:17:
Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

Jeremiah 32:27:
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

II Corinthians 9:8:
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

We also see in the Scriptures God’s willingness to help us! We can rely on these truths about God in the situations we face in life. We are His children. God wants us to know we can come to Him in any situation and He will help us. He will meet all our need.

Philippians 4:19:
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

III John 2:
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

God can and will do His part for us, but we also have a part to play in seeing God’s promises come to pass. We are responsible to trust God’s Word and walk out with believing. Our believing in partnership with His unlimited power is an unbeatable combination.

Mark 9:23:
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things
are possible to him that believeth.

Psalm 84:11,12:
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
O Lord of hosts, blessed
is the man that trusteth in thee.

Reading scriptures like these can help us strengthen our minds and our believing regarding the possibilities God makes available to us as His children. What God is able to do, He is just as willing to do. He is a God Who takes care of His people. The Almighty God is able to and wants to supply every need of every believer.

When we rely upon our own ability and willingness, we can fall short at times. However, when we rely on God, we can be confident that He is always able and willing to perform His promises. We are responsible to trust God’s Word and walk out with believing on the promises of God. As we do our part, we will see that with God all things are possible.
