I Can Do What the Word of God Says I Can Do!

I Can Do What the Word of God Says I Can Do!

It always thrills my heart when God’s Word comes to pass in my life. God is the Creator of all things, yet He calls Himself our Father and He loves to fulfill His promises to us, His children. The Scriptures are full of promises that equip us to have an “I can do all things” attitude, as it states in Philippians 4:13. To see God’s promises come to pass in my life, I like to develop affirmations based on truths in the Scripture so that what I am saying agrees with what God’s Word says. Here are four affirmations I have developed from some of my favorite verses.

I CAN LOVE WITH GOD’S LOVE.

Romans 5:5:
…because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
[holy spirit, the new birth] which is given unto us.

When we are born again of God’s spirit and renew our minds and actions to His Word, we are equipped to minister to people’s hearts with God’s perfect love because His love is shed abroad in our hearts. That’s a love that the world desperately needs. It’s the love we were seeking when God found us. The love of God can be manifested only from God and His children—those born again of His spirit. We are the ones who freely love people into knowing God as their Father. Let’s you and I confess and believe what this Word says: “I can love with God’s love.”

I CAN DO THE SAME WORKS THAT JESUS CHRIST DID AND EVEN GREATER WORKS.

John 14:12:
…He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater
works….

The same works that Jesus Christ did while he was ministering on this earth, we as God’s children can do—and even greater works. One of those greater works is leading others into the new birth, which was not available until the day of Pentecost. As we go about our daily lives doing the works of Jesus Christ, we need never lack power or ability to accomplish what God would have us to do. We operate God’s power that dwells in us. Jesus Christ set a great example of what we can accomplish by how he prevailed and overcame every obstacle in his life with God as his source of strength. “I can do the same works that Jesus Christ did and even greater works.”

I WILL NOT FEAR ANYTHING MAN CAN DO TO ME.

Psalms 56:11:
In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

We can have complete trust in God. In life, we interact with various people in a myriad of situations. Often our socializing is pleasant and enjoyable. But there are times when situations become challenging and unpleasant. We may even be tempted to be afraid of what others can do to us. But there is never a need to have fear when we trust our heavenly Father in every situation and circumstance. “I will not fear anything man can do to me.”

I CAN DO MIGHTY WORKS FOR GOD TODAY.

Philippians 2:13:
For it is God which worketh in you
[by way of the gift in you] both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

We can be confident that God works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure. He directs us to do His good works and will. The works that glorify God are not the works of the flesh but works that God, via the gift of holy spirit, guides us to do. As we walk in fellowship with Him, operate the manifestations of holy spirit, and do His will, our lives will abound with blessings, power, and fruitfulness. “I can do mighty works for God today.”

There is nothing complicated about the process of agreeing with God, but it does take stayed-mind focus on His promises. It takes faithfulness to shine the light of God’s Word into our minds and actions to dispel the darkness. This is all part of the renewed-mind process. To see God’s Word come to pass in our lives, we need to keep truths from God’s Word in our hearts and on our lips. Each of us can claim these confessions with believing:

  • I can love with God’s perfect love, which ministers to people’s hearts.”
  • I can do the works of Jesus Christ and greater as I operate God’s power that is dwelling in me.”
  • I will not fear anything man can do because I have complete trust in the Almighty God.”
  • I can do mighty works for God today because God works in me and I can manifest holy spirit.”

Let’s keep believing and confessing God’s promises in our lives, for we can do what the Word of God says we can do!
